AquaC Remora pro would work I believe. I have the in sump Urchin Pro version and like it, but I cant speak for the HoB version.

Ive just purchased an odyssea 75g skimmer. I currently have it running in my 55gallon.
Its a hob unit, and it also gives you the option to place in a sump with diffrent connection pieces. Skimmer works great. Every morning i check the collection cup and ive got black/yellow bubbly water in it.
Cost me less than $60 shipped to my door on ebay

If you were to ask me about just the 55g, I would give you the following three choices as my pics in order of preference

Aqua Medic Turbo Flotor 1000 Multi SL (really long name....I know)
    AquaC Remora Pro
    Octopus BH-100F

But you are not. You want to upgrade. The second two will handle a 75 or a 90 if it is very lightly stocked. Since we, as aquarists, hardly ever do this, I would avoid the second two and concentrate on the first. Unless you decide to look at the Deltec line of skimmers (MC500 or MCE600), I think the AquaMedic is your best choice.
