I love my bubble magus. I don't think they get the recognition they deserve. They are reasonably priced and work extremely well. Jm2c

Sorry I'm in Canada and temporarily forgot lol. The prices of Big Al's in Canada are much higher. I got mine directly from SWC and it more than $120 more at Big Al's.

if you stay with the 65 a octopus nw-150 is fine or if you might get a bigger tank the nw-200

from the reading I have been doing Aquamaxx makes one of the best HOB skimmers out there and Vertex is good as well.. Not saying others are bad though those two I mentioned were highly recommended.

So I have been scouring the forums for more info and have seen that vertex and reef octo are pretty reliable names and also have seen some poeple talking about the SC skimmers. So now the question is which one.... any more input on the reef octo and the sc i am reading the thread on the sc now, prior to was leaning toward the reef octo but for 80 less is the sc just as good?

Reef Octo is well known for making hard working, fair priced skimmers. I think of them like Toyotas. They aren't the flashiest but they are reliable, consistent, and good quality.

I don't have any input on SC though.
