Ok I has an outbreak of red slime algae a few weeks ago, I dosed with red slime treatment twice within the last two weeks, I know this can make your skimmer have a heart attack but how long does it take to work out of the system? I already have done two 5g water changes and every time I try to run the skimmer I get tiny air bubbles in the tank.
Is the treatment causing this or do I have my skimmer set wrong? (ASM G2)

It usually takes 3-5 days. Let your skimmer run to remove any remaining chemical and debris released by the dead slime. You will have to dial your skimmer back so that the cup is not overflowing every hour.

Typically the recomened water change after each dose is 20%. I would do a 20G water change before restarting your skimmer
