When I started my 110 Gal build I purchase an Aqua Euro 135 Protein Skimmer thinking it could handle the volume of my tank. I have added a 50 Gal sump to the setup and I got thinking I'm going to need a bigger skimmer to handle the larger volume. My plan is to return the 135 and get something bigger. Right now I am thinking either the Aqua Euro 250 (this thing is huge!) or the Coralife Super Skimmer 265. I kind of like the smaller size of the Super Skimmer, but will it handle the volume? I know there are much better skimmers out there but I don't want to break the bank, I still have lots more money to spend before I fire this tank up. Any suggestions or experience with either of these skimmers?

I am not sure about the coralife or Aqua Euro Skimmers but I have an ASM G2 that seems to pull a lot of crap out of mine. It is a thick (6.5 inch) cylinder but it short (21.5 inches) which worked out perfect with my cabinet. I had more room to get to the cup. I am not sure how everyone rates skimmers good or bad, but it seems to work well. I think you can get one for about 250 or so. Hope this helps!

I'd go with the AquaEuro 250 over the Super flooder I mean skimmer LOL

I don't think the ASM G2 is quite big enough for your tank volume. If you wanted something in the ASM line you should go with the G4 or 5 for your tank size
