skimmer working right?

    I have an aquaC remora hot skimmer. It's seems to be working, but the skimate is liquid. It is green and brown and smells bad, but it's not a ooze or jelly like state, is this normal? Or should it be adjusted?

    Unless you are wet skimming or, it's an accumulation of a few days or so of regular skimming. Sounds pretty normal.

    sounds normal depending on your preference you can adjust the skimmer, to do a more watery skimmate or a more solide one mine changes all the time. depending on how i adjust the gate valve
