    Hi,

I bought a skunk clown yesterday, together with a Candy anemone. They were not paired, but I read that there is a chance to pair them, and since the anemone was only $6 i figured ill give it a try.

I set up a 6 gallon tank, (a long one), with 10lbs of live sand, and in the filter I put some alge from a sump, and some carbon.

So now I have 6gallons water, 10lbs live sand, 1lb live rock with 5 inch anemone when open, a 1 inch skunk clown, and I just added a crab, to clean the food that the skunk woun't eat.

The skunk hasn't eaten yet(MarineGro pebbels- used to give to my damsels), andswimms back and forth in the same place most of the time.
He is near the anemone but not in. Almost looks like a dance for the anemone. He is agitated and I am worried because his tank mate, another skunk, was dying at the store so I didn't get him. They did not seem too atached.

Does anyone know if it is normal to be agitated?

First place Clowns and Condy's don't go together unless you get really, really lucky. Not saying it wont work just telling you to not be to disappointed if he never host in it. you might want to paste a picture of another clown hosting in an anemone to the tank to help it along, and don't laugh it works!

Second, new tank, new sourondings... what would you do it suddenly you were scooped up, put in a plastic bag, then dumped into something completely new! (besides suffocate from the plastic bag).

I'm thinking you would be pretty agitated too! Give it some time to settle in its surroundings. I have had fish not eat for days and do nothing but pace (swim back and forth in place) for days. Then one morning they are settled in and eating just fine.

3rd, never, never, never, never buy a fish for a tank where a second fish is dying! Never, no matter how much you want it.... Good chance that if other fish was sick with something that can be spread yours has it too and might not make it. if it goes on for to long bag it back up and take it back to the fish store.

    Good luck, keep us informed.

Thanks, for the info, and I will definetly try the picture method. It sounds like a great home made experiment. Once again thanks.
