As promised here is a pic of the 46's new home...yes the fuge has lovely green algae, it showed up after the power outage and since it's not connected yet the UV hasn't gotten to work it's magic on it.

I have all the stuff to connect the fuge just haven't had the time to after I went to the store for them to open the cans of glue...the darn things wouldn't open. :-[

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It looks very good. The bowfront looks like it would be ideal for sea horses if you moved the fish. Nice and and healthy looking.:)

    Thanks.
Might try again...at least I can keep my mandarines fat and happy (but I'm sure the daily feedings do add to the cyano/gha issues...gotta get that fuge connected and get some chaeto...

Am hoping to get rolling on all that soon, since me paying child support is ending soon since my son is graduated and turns 18 in Jan. Wooohoooo.

    Ebay adds.

The Acans are nice and puffy with polyp extension most of the time (I hope that is normal) and the chalices extend thier polyps at night, at least the one I can tell that has them...the other 2 are very hard to see cuz I have yet to see them...but are coloring back up so I guess they are fine. Oh and I don't see any tissue recession so I'm guessing they're ok...just need to bring them up a bit in the tank.

At first the Acans weren't that puffy in spots so I built a little cove around them with LR rubble and now they are fat & happy.

    Thanks
Tank you very much I like them it's cool how puffy they get....the pictures were of course with actinics only.

Oh and the Acans have 2 baby heads too boot :)

Next up is a custom sump for the 2 to share, I should be able to get about 40 gal sump in less than 3 ft of space (according to my calculations) I want a big fuge area and pleanty of space at the end for reactors (should I end up using them), an ATO resivoir and my UV sterilizer plus other tank related clutter. Will put a nice skin on the stand too since the fuge light will be on opposite cycle and it gets distracting when watching TV plus I want that stuff hidden :cheesy:.

Then the big tank will get a Bean Animal overflow.

    Sighting

When I got my yellow watchman goby(Orion) I got him as a pair with a Randell's pistol shrimp (Ruger). I put the two in only to never see the shrimp again.

The only clues I've seen so far that Ruger was still alive was a molt a while back and clicking sounds from my tank.

Recently Orion had been acting weird and not in his hole (per usual) and the entrances were blocked with sand...I thought that if the shrimp were still alive that perhaps it had just molted and had kicked the YWG out.

Then a couple of days ago Orion moved to the other side of the tank to a much smaller rock...am not sure as to why but perhaps he didn't like all the traffic on that side of the tank...due to it being on the left of the tan where we walk by(see pic above).

So it turns out I may have been right....I finally saw the pistol shrimp!
He's much bigger than he was before and so pretty but very wary....as well he should be, I guess, with a puffer in the tank.
I did see Spot (a Green Spotted Puffer) look at him but he kept swimming...probably still looking for some stray blood worms with his little (ok not so little) pufferbelly all full.

I've not seen Spot go after any inverts in the tank...not even snails that were on their backs. Hasn't paid any heed to the coral and hasn't even tried to go after another fish, though if he's going after food most of them will steer clear of him ;D.

Just like bigfoot, Nessie and other such sightings all I could get was a fuzzy cell phone picture of the pair.
Just incase you don't know what a Randall's pistol shrimp(mine's named Ruger :) ) looks like, it's the candy cane striped thing beside Orion (YWG).
