Finally took the plunge and ordered the stuff to drill my tank for a BeanAnimal overflow with a narrow internal box and the Bean stuff in a box behind the tank. I will be putting the return through the back and internal box (the external one won't be the whole length of the tank).

I'm still hella nervous about drilling it...yes I know let the drill weight/bit do the work ( problem is being a bowfront I can't rest it o the front so .....) and use plenty of water.

    Wish me luck.

Oh and thanks to Warner Marine I have a nice new MF121 waiting for the overflow to be finished.
For now I will use an extra 10 gallon tank for a sump till I get the baffles in the 29 gal. tank.

Congrats and good luck. Take your time and make yourself a template from a piece of wood and make a hole it is that is just slightly larger than the bit. Place a solid block of wood on the other side of the glass to help prevent splintering when you drill through the glass. Clamp them in place and have fun making holes in your tank.

Drilling is done but the plastic store is closed till Mon. so can't get the overflow cut and in till then

I also have to run back to the hardware store to get paint and some stiffer airline tubing for the Bean.

Here's the tank (the 4th smaller hole is for the return , which will go through the overflow box).

Looking good! :) Might be a lil more work (more holes, pipes and other misc parts), but you wont regret that you took the Bean route!

One thing that I love about Bean that hasnt been discussed about, among other pros. Having the long overflow box, the unwanted particles in the display gets removed way faster than conventional ones.

    Keep us posted!!

    Thanks.

Yes it's also one reason I chose it as well...since my current set up has no surface skimming I see all the junk floating on the surface and it's gross.
I found the Bean when I first got into salt but was scared to drill and needed to get up the money to get all the extra stuff needed to do a sump and such.

    Thanks, and will do.
