i noticed that when my lights go off and my fish are sleeping my biggest fish, a clarkii clown i think its called, goes to a strange place. he moves up to the top of the water against the back glass and his colors fade like my fish do right before they die. but then during the day time he looks colorful as can be he eats and seams perfectly healthy. is this something i should be worried about or is that just what they look like when they sleep?

He's just sleeping, no cause for concern.

You don't want to be bright and colorful while you are sleeping and the predators are out looking to pick off an easy snack!! :)
