    Hi everyone,

Posting this earlier than I originally planned as I wanted to get some pictures first, however I thought I would test the water so to speak and see what people think.

Basically I have a slipper/tongue coral that's not looking so good over the last few weeks. It is located on the sand bed in a good position for light and water movement. Only a third of the tentacles are actually coming out and the rest of it just looks bumpy! My clowns (well one of them) has been harassing it for about a month and I'm not sure whether it is just really annoyed and now not opening or whether something else is wrong with it.

My tank levels are all pretty good, but the only thing I cannot test as I don't have a kit till the weekend is magnesium.

All of my other corals are doing super, my hammer coral looks great, my monti's just keep on growing and my trumpet keep on splitting. So all in all things are good but my slipper is doing bad!

    Any suggestions?

Sounds like your clown was trying to host in it and the Tongue Coral is none too happy about that idea.

I'm gonna test a few more bits and pieces just so I'm happy. But, I think you're probably right, they done the same thing to my duncan's and they closed up at which point the clowns left them alone. Now, a good 3 weeks or so later my duncan's are looking good again. The annoying thing is there is a perfectly good anemone in the tank that I got for them, and 4 months on and they are still not interested.

Have you seen this thread? It's pretty amazing and could be something you try so those clowns will host your anemone. Hey, it's worth a shot, yes?
