    Hardware

    (still growing)
2 400l per hour hob filters
    1 Aqua Illuminations Nano
No heater ( stable room temperature of 76 degrees )

I know my turnover isn't optimal however in the near future ill be adding an MP10 and another 16 gallons of water volume once I can sort out a cost effective way to add on a 9 gallon fuge and a 6.6 gallon sump/fuge.

Approx 10 lbs of live sand, and 6-8lbs of live rock.

    Age: 45 days

Nice Tank, But you need more Live rock and some other essentials before actually getting your hands dirty with living creatures. IMO

Just use CPR, Eshopps over flows or a DIY overflow and pvc plumbing into your sump :)

I would add a heater though, you dont want to go through a cold patch or something and your tank not have the ability to cope. Heaters are heaps cheap and you can set it at the desired temp and it will only turn on if its low.

I'm working on gathering the hardware to expand. I'll be adding a heater or two to the sump once I get it all plumbed up.
My fuge will contain a deepish sand bed ( as deep as 16lbs of live sand will make it. Figuring approx 4" deep with a 12x13" footprint. ) still researching inverts that will keep it stirred properly. I will be adding a few more select pieces of fully cured liverock to the dt soon. Anyone know if the back glass on an eheim Aquastyle 35 is tempered? Now would be an excellent opportunity to drill it and add bulkheads. As for the ADA I may have to get a surface skimming overflow for it.
No matter how I go about it I'll have to maintain a slow pace with this build to lessen the impact and keep my wife happy. So far so good. I've caught my wife and 4 year old daughter staring intently on my box of water and rock searching for signs of life. ( a few snail and hermits and tens of thousands of pods for the moment.) is there such thing as too many pods?

To top it off now I think I have snail egg sacks randomly attached to my glass. I'll try getting a pic. Borrowed my wife's 10x loupe ( far superior to my 15x)

I've seen three different species of Copepods as well.

Would it be possible to use an air driven water pump to feed my fuge? Going to research a little on setting up a very low flow water transfer setup between my dt and future fuge to move 35l of water an hour tops. This would give me approximately 1x fuge turnover which I've read is optimal for fuge nutrient export efficiency.
