I think I may have figured out a way to make a pair of air driven low volume water pumps. I just need to find an inexpensive programmable digital timer to cycle the air pump.

In theory I'll need a dual output pump, 6 check valves, some rigid airline, flexible airline, a small air manifold, and two pressure vessels.

Exciting things happening here. Packing up my big tools to work on turbines for the next few weeks. Thankfully it is here in town so I'll be home every night.

Not sure what they are but the sps are up high and in the current the mushroom is down low.
    Small changes and new additions.

Added a rio+ 800 and an Eheim Classic 205. My turnover is about 19x for the moment.

Over the last two weeks I've added a few more frags, a dragon eye zoa, a single polyp of some unknown flourescent orange zoa, and a Yuma ric.

The ric went slack mouthed and expelled some brown slime, then got happy again. Managed to feed it some thawed carnivore feed. Pretty interesting watching it eat.

Going to give everything a few days before I get pics, most of the tank is sulking after a large WC.

The first coral is a plating Montipora it likes medium to high light and strong flow and the other SPS is a birdsnest and it likes the same conditions as the Montipora.

Someone id'd the plating Monti as strawberry fields, the more I observe it I'm thinking it is indeed reverse sunset. All the new polyps are orange rather than red. Still figuring out the proper settings for the lighting. I think I had it up a little too high. After turning it down a bit I'm noticing better PE on everything.

On an unrelated note..... Day 2 smoke free. Having an ECig handy helps. I know it's kinda cheating but I'm not getting all the tar and nasty chemicals ( believe it or not I am having some withdrawals from the toxins) . My wife has commented on my not smelling
Like an ashtray so that has to be a plus.

Well my setup wasn't ready for SPS lost them both. My softies are doing well. Added a small protein skimmer and have seen a change in my water color overnight. I'm waiting at minimum 6 months and some upgrades before I attempt sps again.
My pod population is at a low, saw a very fast critter last night. Way too big to be a tiger pod, but reddish like one. Wondering if I might have a baby mantis or more realistically a small red/brown isopod.
