    I was thinking mine seemed slower but have been blaming it on taking my computer in to get fixed, i swear he screwed it up. Just checked my speed though and it is only 0.45 mbps so I take it that is slow. I'm with neighbortom, me and computers don't mix.

    You sure? Not even 1 mps? You're in serious trouble. High speed would be 6-20 mps.

    I forgot to tell you about doing a "ping" test. This may help;

    Yeah I just checked it on that site, I'll check it again in a bit and see if it changes. And it is suppose to be bell high speed, takes forever to download stuff so I guess this is why.

    Thanks, Jed.

    My wife's computer beside mine on the same router exhibits the same behavior.

    I should have mentioned originally that all has been flawless and fast for years. It's just these past 3 days. I'm confident that the issue lies outside my home. If things don't change in a day or so, I'll call my provider.

    Thanks all.

    There might be an issue with your ISP's DNS servers. I switched to OpenDNS a few months ago after experiencing some of the same problems that you mentioned.

    OpenDNS | Internet Navigation And Security

    It's free for personal accounts, and has great web content filtering, should you choose to use that.

    Cheers.
