It appears that a colorful little slug has hitchhiked a ride into my tank via the live rock I purchased when starting up the tank. I've done a lot of searching and reading through all of your posts here and have found out that some slugs can be toxic when they die.

This guy started off staying on the same rock but has recently become confident enough to do laps around the entire aquarium including all the rock and around the glass.

So the main reason I'm posting these pictures is to see if you think I should remove this guy now before he becomes a problem? Or is he safe in the tank and just another member of the CUC?

And the second set of pictures is what looks to be some sort of anemone. It only comes up and out at night. During the day it recedes completely back down into the rock to the point you can't see it at all. It's mostly gray with darker stripes. I've searched throughout the tank and this appears to be the only one. Is this something I should be concerned about and remove? Is it harmless? Thank you all so much for your input!

Pic's 1 and 2...not a slug but some type of snail. I cannot for the life of me remember the name. But the shell is clearly visible.
The other pics look like a hydroid to me.

does your anemone look like this? if so it's a mejano, and you should get rid of it.

Wow! Thanks for the QUICK replies everyone! The way he moves it just doesn't look like a snail I've seen (the shell looks so shiny). You guys are great! I would have never known. He's got a GREAT shine to him. Definitely a decorative piece in the tank.

And the anemone doesn't really look like any of the mejano pictures I've perused today. The "tentacles" are fairly narrow (there's only around 6 or 7 of them). I'll try and get more pictures of it first thing in the morning. It's difficult to get anything great as it retreats back into the rock fairly quickly after the lights come on and doesn't show itself again until dark.

And I found a cluster of something on another rock that I'll try and post pictures of tomorrow as well. I'm not sure but I think they might be mejano...
