    Right lads and ladettes, i literally only ohave this one pic of this critter that i found in my tank. The slug its self is in toilet. If anyone knows what it is i'll be happy. (to me it looks like a tiny sea hare)

    You're close, it's almost a sea hare...at least, it's a harmless sacoglossan slug. Any slugs that have the slits down their backs are ALL harmless. If you spread out the folds on the back (parapodia) the animal would likely be green inside, which is the area where it stores the choroplasts from the algae it eats. There are several similar species in the superfamily Elysioidea, so if it's not one of these species, it's a relative:

    The Sea Slug Forum - Plakobranchus ocellatus
    The Sea Slug Forum - Elysia flavomacula
    The Sea Slug Forum - Elysia papillosa

    You never cease to amaze me! Its the 2nd one. Im a bit bummed now that i threw it down the toilet as i was worried it was some kind of coral eating nudibranch at the time. Maybe i have more?! But i will remember you tip with the slit down the back! Thanks!
