small bugs

    I have small bugs in my fuge--they do not look like pods or spirobid worms--they are bigger than a copepod--they look like small ants--whitish gray and small hair like legs all around--only see them on the walls. Probably would not see them on the sand--they would blend in. They are multiplying and I want to know if they are good or not. I would post pics bu the camera will not pick them up. I dont even know what to put in a search. My fuge is about a month old and has live sand and chaeto if that helps. I dont see them in the main tank, but the fish would probably get them first--Thanks in advance

    I believe this is the critter and I will paste the description

    I suspect this is a Scud, a Gammarus shrimp (Gammaridean amphipods) that are beneficial detritivores and make tasty natural snacks for you livestock. They commonly hang out on hair algae.
