Small Shape shifting Anenome?!?!

    Ok, gonna sound crazy, but I have what looks to be an anemone. it has two forms, day and night form. during the day it looks like this...

    At night I have not gotten a good pic, but it looks like aiptisia.

    Anyone have a clue? IT is mobile, and the size of a quarter in its day form.


    ohhh, and I am not crazy it really does this!

    hard to tell from your pics, but id be wary if you think it is apstisia

    Yes, as are aiptasia if not kept under control!!!!!!!!!!Can inflict damage to corals etc. that they come in contact with. They are also prolific growers and spread rapidly! Easy to keep as well...

    Ahhhh, makes sense, at night it looks exactly like aiptasia. I guess time for lemon juice?

    Lemon or lime juice, vinegar(acetic acid), Joe's juice and Kalkwasser paste mixture work wonders.
    Prevention is the best cure for pest anemones!

    Inject it through the mouth of the anemone and it kills them for the most part!
