My small tentacle plate coral over the last month is starting to have some of the skeleton on the side starting to show...there are like 4-5 spots that the flesh is gone and there is the white skeleton showing...dying?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If the tissue continues to receed than yes it will die.

Where is it placed in the tank, and what type of flow is it recieving?

Are all parameters in check? And have you attempted to feed it?

the parameters have been within reason, had my ph for a bit to 8.6 but brought it down. indirect flow on the sandbed, lighting has 2-250w metal halide but the plate is sitting on the left side of tank in the middle, havent fed it ever, have probably had about a yr

i feed mine a couple of small pieces of shrimp or scallop once a week. just place the pieces (smaller than the mouth) on top of it somewhere and it will work it towards its mouth. it is actually pretty interesting imo.

mine grabs some floating food (if the fish and cuc don't take it back) almost daily.
