Smallest reef safe schooling fish?

    Threadfin Cardinalfish may be your best bet. They are relatively small, can be kept in small schools, and breed relatively easily in home aquaria.

    Minimum tank size for these fish are 10 gallons +.

    yes i did not think of cardinals, they may be your best bet they will school easy and they are small. they are like the neon tetra of saltwater.

    Exactly what I was thinking. I have seen them in groupings in tanks, not sure if it's true schooling, anyway here is a link.

    i 2nd not getting any chromis... buy a group of 7-10 and they will just dwindle down to 2.

    What about Dwarf Cardinals? I am not sure where to get them from...maybe send a request to Divers Den. Then will usually get it.

    Dwarf cardinals only get about 1.5" in length. They aren't very colorful, but should add lots of moment to the tank. I would get about 7, if you have the room to do so. I might do this for my 75g reef.
