Smart Phones

Almost all the smart phones have horrible battery life. When I use the web on mine the battery dies really fast.

 

I work for Sprint & run a Service Center as well. I can't stand the Palm Pre. It gets way too hot while using data. When the keyboard goes out & it will there is no other way to type since there isn't an on screen keyboard. Earpiece is always going out, and when the digitizer (touchscreen) stops working you can not select the mass storage to backup your pics or music.

 

I use a Samsung Moment (Android OS) & a HTC Touch Pro 2 (Windows Mobile 6.1) for Sprint. I do like them both, but the android OS has it's issues. I'm hoping that the 2.1 version fixes those issues. My number one complaint is contact management. The Android OS at least version 1.5 was not designed for business use. As I can not look up a contact under a company name & if I have a contact in a company name it will show the contact name only. Meaning is a have Bill that works at company A & Bill works at company B. It will display BILL, BILL in my contact list. I have to go into each contact to see what company they work for. VERY DUMB GOOGLE!!! Battery use is another issue. My HTC windows based will last three times longer as my android phone.

 

Turn off when not needed..

Bluetooth
GPS
WIFI
Auto-Sync "Backs up to Google"
Animation
Touch sounds
Vibrate
Turn brightness down or turn on Auto Brightness
Remove unneed Widgets, They are running apps.
Get a Task Killer "Which will turn off apps that are running in the background"

 

got the droid and have had it for 5 days now, must say I freakin love this phone, does everything I could ask for, the voice search feature actually works really well and I've had no battery life issues, my wife has but I haven't so kind of weird
the call clarity on verizon isnt as clear as sprints network but the data does seem faster and I have yet to find a place I frequent that does not have 3g coverage so I must say so far I'm impressed
