Cool, my buddys got the same bike,it might be an 01.

Funny, one of my track buddies bought an 01 after riding mine. They are supposed to be the same, but there are subtle differences. When both bikes were stock, (Pre track days) the 01 felt like it sat lower in the frame. I swear it feels like it has a little more rake and the throttle feels more like a 600 on steroids. Mine has more of a point and shoot liter bike feel. The 01 is easier to jump on coming out of a turn without as much pucker factor.

 

what mods do you got? hes got a power commander and yosi exhaust.cuz i know he had throttle lag.

race pads, SS lines, 100lb RaceTech springs, gold valves, HyperPro damper, inverted shift pattern, Penske rear shock, Full Micron serpent titanium exhaust with a carbon can (Shaved 13lbs!), Power Commander and lots of safety wire. Let’s not forget the "custom" creatively patched plastic and dented tank from being too "enthusiastic" on several occasions at Grattan and Blackhawk. Oh, do the titanium bits in the right shoulder count as motorcycle mods too?

 

definately!! So far ive gotten the micron high mount full exhaust w/ the fade blue to blk. PC, fender eliminator kit and flush mount signals.next i want the galfer wave rotors w/SS lines
