Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner, but we paid around $50 a piece for them. Now my wife wants another set of clowns and a biocube lol

your tank looks great! it had to be exciting seeing how everything has grown while being gone a month. The mushroom surrounded by zoas looks pretty sweet too!

 

Thnx. It was really nice to come home and not see a tank full of GHA or worse lol. The mushroom in the middle of zoas I didn't even plan. Before I left I just barely started to notice it. When I came home, it was already getting quite big. I don't even know how it got up there lol. ;D

 

After doing some reading on some of the forums here about zoas and how to get them to grow, I did some rearranging. I move my three different kinds of zoas right next to each other in hopes that they will spread trying to fight for space.

 

I woke up this morning and saw my crab hanging upside down from one of my rocks. I thought it was cool and got a pic of it.



Then I thought he might be dead and grabbed my net. Turns out that he had just molted lol.

 

Just did a 5 gallon water change and tested my params:

Phosphates: 2 ppm
PH: 8.0
ALK: 2.0
Ammonia: less then .25 ppm
Nitrite: .05 ppm
Nitrate: 0 ppm
Salinity: 1.024

Not sure why I am going through a mini cycle. I could have some bad reagents. I'm not sure how old they are, but I've got them from somebody else a little over 4 months ago. The phosphate kit I just bought a few months ago.

Also, my crab that molted last night has doubled in size. I hope that he isn't to big for my tank now. How big do emerald crabs have to be before they start going after fish?

It is kind of hard to tell the size difference, but he looks to be about double his original size.

My Xenia has really taken off now that I moved it into less flow!

I'm looking at buying this RO/DI unit from BRS. What is everyone's thoughts on this unit?



Or, is there a better unit for about the same price?
