When I used to run T-5's I used that combo of 2x Blue+, purple+, and aquablue special. It gave a great color and good par also.

I have no power. It has been out for about 9 - 10 hours now. I have had a battery powered air pump with air stone in the tank for about 2 hours now and the tank has been wrapped in a blanket ever since the power was out.

Is there anything else I can do? I don't want to feed because I don't want to add to the bioload in the tank. Does that sound right. It is sounding like it will be Sunday morning before power is restored in my area.

First the lights..2x Blue+, 2purple+, and 2aqua blue special..that's what I did instead of LED...think I'll let the price come down a bit...new T5s every year so we will see next year...but the recommendation from 2in10 was spot on...those lights are bad azz.
...as for the power outage..SUX !! I have a 6000 generator for this issue that will power a sub panel that handles my kitchen and "Man cave" (tank included). never had to use it..most its been down is a couple hours here in there over the years..knock on wood.
    Good luck.. : /

Aw stick. Good luck man. I heard if temp gets too low you can boil some tank water, put it in a baggy and then float it in a bag. In sorry.:(

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. My mother-in-law was kind enough to put my family up in a hotel room so the kiddos don't get to cold. I haven't been home in over 12 hours, so I don't how the tank is doing right now. I plan on making a trip home before it gets dark so I can see how the fish are doing. I have an electric stove, so no warming up water. I think my hot water heater is gas though? Maybe I get hot water, though I doubt it.

I will keep everyone posted. Thanks again. Should I be feeding?

    oh man that sucks dude.

Can;t you use one of those hot packs that you twist and they generate heat? Put it in a plastic bag and float it.
