Absolutely. I have the same "problem" since adding a few hermits and snails and a couple emeralds to my tank. In less than a week, I had to start overfeeding so my CuC doesn't starve.

 

I have one emerald crab already. I had two, but I guess it was survival of the fittest lol. I will look for some astrea/turbo snails this weekend. I didn't even think about adding more snails before I left lol.

I'm not adding any supplements at all actually. I will have to test my params to see where my nitrates are at. I suspect that is the reason for the great growth and lack of water changes. ;D

I went out and bought 4 astrea snails and 4 turbo snails today. We will see how much these guys help me out lol.

Fingers crossed lol. Two of the turbo's I got are huge. I didn't realize how big they were when I bought them lol.

 

Thank you. I'm not to worried about the GHA. I think the turbo's will do a great job at taking care of it lol. I plan on cleaning the GHA off of the power head myself though.

 

Thanks for the suggestion on the snails! Those turbo snails have been hard at work on my GHA problem, and have taken care of half of it at least already lol. ;D
