Do Banded Coral Shrimp eat fish? I have read that they don't, but I overheard the other day that have been known to.

The only reason that I ask is because I have one. I want to get it out of the tank though if he will end up eating my fish though. He hides all day anyways.

Probably. If he gets big enough, and hungry enough, and wants to. Its one of those things like will dwarf angels eat my coral? The answer is that OTHER people CBS is a wonderful tank inhabitant and your will PROBABLY eat your small fish lol.

I would say dartfish and gobies and stuff. Weaker less mobile fish. I would watch him around lights out and lights on to see if he congregates near the places your fish sleep. Thats the biggest indicator.

You'll probably see him try to grab at a fish before he gets good at it and they are easy to remove.

Wow, I my emerald is pretty big. I guess my next move is to get the shrimp out of the tank as soon as I can find him a new home. I guess it is time to call the LFS this weekend and see where I can take him.

smitty, its your call, but i'm guessing a CBS that gets hungry is trouble in any tank. He ran his way through half my cuc before i figured out what was going on! Cool as heck critter, but you'll prob see dead hermits everywhere at some point.
