Should I get some frozen food for my scooter blenny? I will get some more pods when I get the money for them.

As for the cyano, cut back the feeding a bit. I feed my fish once a day, and the food is all gone within 2 min. Do water change more often or more volume at a time. Try to eliminate the source of the phosphate and nitrate.

I think BioPellets are awesome. Somehow there is a coralline explosion thanks to the BP!

What kind of pellets do you recommend? I've never really used pellets before.

    Need a Bright/Colorful Addition

My wife tells me today that we need something in the tank to brighten it up some. I told her that I do need a new light fixture, but she said she likes the light like it is. The corners are dark (I have the 20" light fixture with the sides cut out to accommodate the 2x 24" T5 lights that I have).

I informed her that this means that almost everything that we would put in the tank would have be towards the center, and I guess she is alright with that (I'm not as it takes away from a lot of aqua scaping, lol).

All my equipment is in my signature, what do you all think would be a nice colorful addition to my aquarium?

I think your aquascape looks good. Any soft coral would really be fine under those lights (2x24w?). While plusing xenia looks somewhat bland, i liek the movement it adds to a tank; you could also get color morphs of it if you want. i think Reefperts and AquaSD often have a morph that is like aquamarine and indigo colors, rather than the cream it normally comes in. You could also look into some low-light sps if your parameters are good.

But if you want a big reef, I would suggest a 4x24" (maybe 36") T5HO or LED.

You need a skimmer too (slim skim?). ;)

This is the light that I am looking at for now. I am also looking at the slim skim, lol. My params aren't quite ready for sps just yet. I still need to get some more equipment so I can keep them a little more stable.

I do currently have 2x 24w T5's (1 Actinic, 1 10,000k). The bulbs are due for replacement here in about a month or so.

I've been running 5ppm nitrates since I started my tank. But I've had a skimmer and no livestock. lol. I need some fishies! Maybe once I set up the biopellet reactor my nitrates will be pretty much done for. ::)

You have any ideas for what kind of fish you want to add?

I've heard some people on 3reef have have that light. IIRC, most people were happy with it. I think the wattage should be plenty for the 40B.

Does it have single lens parabolic reflectors? Or is it one big curved reflector?
