I have a couple snail in the tank and i do notice that they take breaks. One of them hasnt moved off the same rock in more than a day but has moved about 2 inches. Is he about ready to die? Should I pull him out now or give him some more time?

He's fine - just found himself a good spot he likes :)

You do realize that a snail death in a 65 gallon tank isn't going to foul the water anyway right ?

Yeah, you have plenty of dilution. When part of your clean up crew kicks it the rest of the clean up crew comes in and cleans it up as well.

I have a hermit crab in my tank with an insatiable appetite for sushi ! he’s been chowing down on my turbo’s daily … ugh ! everyone comes out to join him and its like watching a tank party … poor turbo :-(

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sometimes snails move at night and return to the same spot during the day. Same goes for chitons, limpets, urchins. Not all snails to it but some do and they can remain in one spot for days as well. If the snail is still attached to the area it is most likely not dying IMO.

+1 to corallines post most of my Astraea snails stay in one spot during lights on, and at night it is an explosion of snail movement.
