is it normal for the larger snails to pile up in the corner of my overflow box? I just got my snails and put them in after temperature acclimating them and many are piling in the corners of my overflow boxes. I really don't like the idea of snails entering my overflows!!! Some are out of the water ready to climb inside the box!!

Mine do the same, specially because the overflow catches a lot of crap on the edges where water comes in and they like to eat that. I never had to pull one out of there though, but I know some of them do like to go in. So far, they've come out by themselves since I have a pre-filter on the drain side and there's nowhere else to go but back.

You could put some gutter guard on the opening of the overflow box, that'll keep them out, at least the big ones.

Mine do the same thing and they like to crawl along the glass top upside down. You should periodically check your overflow box, because they have a tendency to fall in. The smaller snails are a really pain to get out once they flow through.

Most of my snails do the same thing. Nerite snails seem to do this the most because in the wild they actually stay close to the tidal zones in shollow reefs.
