snail options

    LOL, those are the ones that have a chekered shell??
    My brother had a bunch of these chekered snail that he caught, and he put it in his tank a long time ago, and we would find them hours later on the kitchen table, all over the floor, everywere!!

    i recommend a single conch. a smaller variety would be preferred as they would not become as big as some (i.e. queen conch)...i have a turtle conch in my ten gallon (originally in my fifteen) and he is barely 2 inches in length. he stirs up the sand bed, eats leftover food, dietrus, and even algae. my sand and the lower levels of glass/rock are always pristine due to this little guy...

    There are several species but from the sounds of it, your brother has definitely had the nerite experience :lol:

    where would i find that conch? i did not know that they are reef safe. and i heard that they knock rock work over.

    Margarita and Red Trochus snails are ideal as mentioned above due to their ability to move around on the substrate and also right themselves up!

    i deff. found out what the other type i have is. they are Margarita snails. i like them alot.
