Found this little guy between a couple green zoas. The colony has barely been opening for a couple days and I lost a colony of red zoas last week so I've been looking close for pests. Any help you guys have of what exactly it is and if I should be concerned. Thanks always

Nudibranch. I would be concerned, it's likely eating the zoas.

    That's an Aeolid nudibranch.

    Maybe this will help. Aeolids.

+1 to nudibranch. And not a friendly one either.

Chances are that you have more than one. Manual removal of the animals and eggs is about your only option.

    Cheers,

Stab them with a kabob scewer...look for eggs...manual removal. Sometimes a wrasse will eat them also.

Also watch any montipora for missing spots of flesh in case you have the monty eating kind.

freshwater dip all your zoas and then repeat in a week to kill eggs. It is going to be a pain to get rid of and you will have to repeat for a while
