    They're collonistas.
    Definitely not sundials or nerites.

    lol Sushigirl is right. They are definitely not sundials, I've seen a few thousand of them. They definitely are either Collonistas or Homalopomas, which are essentially the same thing (same family and subfamily). One of these days we're going to get a turbinid taxonomist to commit to a name for this species. It's usually called Collonista amakusaensis, but...there are about half a dozen species being depicted as/called by this name. I've seen pics that I BELIEVE were the type for C. amakusaensis, and the shell had some sculpture on it...unlike the ones pictured above. Somebody needs to compare all these brown flammulated turbinids with the holotype, I reckon. Enquiring minds want to know! :)
