snails in reefs?

    most surely...dont know if they have NON reef safe snails..have not seen one myself. But ya need 'em in the CUC.
    Many variegates available...and required ...imo : )

    I am a big fan of snails, now hermit crabs are a different story. :)

    Yes! Snails are awesome. You should look into dwarf cerith snails. IMO they should be the staple member of your cuc. Theyll eat just about anything. Hermits are good too, just not too many.

    Oh and also, turbo snails. They rock.

    it donsent hurt the coral when they go across them? and ive heard alot of diffent things whats the best salenity for reef tanks?

    Non safe snails: Pyramid, most limpets, alot of Cowry among many.

    That being said I only use snails in my CuC. Check out reefcleaners.

    They don't really climb on corals IME. They usually go around them.

    Salinity for a reef tank should be 1.024-1.026
    For a fish only
    1.020-1.026

    Keeping it stable is the important part though.

    I love my LFS, but when it comes to cleanup crew, I go to reefcleaners.org, a sponsor here. He will always guide you well. Ask for advice on the ideal clean up crew. I tend to avoid hermits, but have no strict aversion to them. Snails are a good plan though.
