I bought a few snails when the tank was first started and now I have little snails everywhere. When do they become a nuisance and need to be removed? You can see in the picture all of the snails on the back rock and back wall. Not all of the white dots are snails but most are....

The stomatella population and Collonista population will be controlled by available food and they should not be a nuisance since they are good scavengers and good members of the clean up crew.

Either that or the eggs of the snails. It seems as if more hatch every day ... copepod population in that tank is crazy too.

Heres a pretty cool picture of a bunch of them together. Look on the shell of the big ones and you can see some of the smaller ones
