snails or Hermits

time for a clean-up crew....i have a 20 gal long running since 10-25-08. first i need to test all parms before i'm thinking of adding anything. I've read alote about hermits taking out peoples snails. I need to get a cleanup crew in the tank. any info with what people chose for there cleanup crew and how it went thanks


also i'm new to 3reef and have learned alote. alittle about my eq
seaclone skimmer(wish i knew about before i got it) owell
15 pounds live rock 5pounds base rock
3in sand bed fine sand
zoomed 440 for flow with the 1200 maxi from the skimmer
15 wat 50/50 6500k 15 wat 360 acintic all glass t8 fixture

i'm wanting a reef with out fish for now since it's a nano
i need to get some t-5, overflow with sump ,auto-top off. and some maxjet 1200 for more flow before adding coral.

any info world be helpful......snails or hermits and what clean-up i sould get to clean the tank.

I like a mix of snails and crabs. Important to keep extra shells for the crabs or they'll take them from the snails.

You will get some crabs murdering your snails from time to time... just part of nature... snails aren't so expensive (IMO) that this is a concern for me.
