hi wavebeast. my problem was even worst before. all die in a week. some say it's the way the snails were handled before you got them. What i did was get a few at a time until i got many alive in my tank! keep reefing! ;)

Most turbo snails are collected from waters that are cooler than our reef tanks. They can't handle the high temps and usually die :(

I use the drip method to aclimate them, what botherd me was that one of the ones that died was in the tank for 3 months,

I guess I will pick up some replacements.

I finnaly have some Pinl/Purple corline algae starting to grow, I'm soooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grow, grow, grow

    thanks for your replies .

If you get your Mag up, I'll bet the coralline will grow much quicker! Should be around 1400....that should help maintain the calcium too :D

yep I started adding tech m to raise my mag levels , will test again this weekend to see how the levels are .

I also picked up 6 new turbo snails last nite ( these guys must have been starving) Great for me... He He He
I ll try to take a pic, thanks again for all your help

P.s. Do snails count as fish ? ( you know inch per gallon thing)I don't want to overstock my tank.
