snails , some dead some alive/what could it be?

    You might also want to check and confirm the waters Salinity :)

    Also, is the tank clear of algea?

    Did you keep them in cooler temps or are you saying that yours did ok in the higher temps? Forgive me but I'm slow this morning....need more coffee :)

    I've never liked turbos and not because of the temperature issues but because they tend to knock corals and such over in my tank. They do a great job with algae though, that goes without saying :)

    Salinity is 1.024

    the tank Does have algea. ( not the slime though) some Verry little patches of green hair & some red tough stuff) my purple corline algae is starting to grow in now .  I ll have to post a pic.

    I was told to lower my tank temps. I did by removing a MH which somehow racks up the temp too high (not to mention my electric bill which goes sky high). when i placed turbos again they did well now. I had losses but it was lesser.

    Same with you my turbos keep knocking some corals down. Mostly unstable polyps. They are ok now.

    They are great for eating hair algae. Really good in this aspect. ;D

    I wish I got a picture of what I saw the other day, While one of my snails were cleaning the glass (slowly) I saw a brissle worm inside with him. , I pulled him out and was able to grab th worm with a toothpick snail looks ok ( well see in a couple of days)

    How much algae is in the tank. Are they starving to death? That is what happened to mine once until someone told me to add seaweed rubberbanded to a rock in the atnk every so often so they have another source of food if there is not enough algae.
