so tonight while feeding and other nights during feed time, some snails come out from out of nowhere and come out and get all over the glass and crawl on the sand. I've noticed they don't come out during the day but it's like whenever i feed.

Could these snails smell the garlic in the food and want that's why they come out?

Are they snails you ordered from reefcleaners or hitch hikers? Because nassarius snails eat meat and come out during feeding, but hide during the day ( I was told).

I would guess nassarius snails. Bc from what I've read they are the only snails that eat meat. Sounds kinda fun (and slightly like a horror movie)!

haha yea it really does. Kind of ugly with their big ol slug type body and a smallish shell just crawling around lol but they do love to slide up and down the glass.

Nassarius Vibex remain submerged in the sand and emerge when they smell food. The telltale snoot gives them away. Does the snail in question look like this, Puffer Chick?

I've got another variation in my tank, they've got greyish shells but that big 'ole snout gives them away. He came as a hitchiker and I didn't know I had him until weeks later when I moved a rock. Haven't seen him since, lol.

I love how these snails come out and just rocket across the sand hitting and mowing over whatever gets in there way lol. My wife and I often watch them come out and crash into each other. Reminds me of that scene from Austin Powers with the steam roller.
