    The more and more time I spend with my tanks the more I've come to notice that looking at the top of my snails shells is a great indication of where the tank is when it comes to algae or coralline growth at the moment. I see updates on their tiny shells faster than I do on the live rock which eventually reflects them.

    Anyone else notice this or am I just crazy?

    shells do tend to grow coralline on them faster.
