Will snails take care of the red & pink algae on the glass & coral ? How many of each would I need for a nano tank. Are the snails that clean the substrate necessay ?I do a water change once a week where I clean the gravel.

    Thanks.

Are you using RODI filtered water for your water changes?
And how much water flow/movement is there in your tank?

Yes I do use RODI filtered water & the water has plenty of movement. How much movement is necessary ?

How big is your tank, ex 5 gal nano would need 5 Clean up Crew members, 1 per gallon. May be snails/crabs or other things that eat algae/detritus etc.

As for the red algae could by cyano, could be poor circulation, sometimes hermits will eat it.
