First I would look towards Collonista and next if they look like a grain of rice, yes the dreaded Pyramid snails.

Collonista then. Very similar and related to turbos, nocturnal, harmless.

Thats a relief, if its not one thing its another and I just got rid of one problem. He was little (2 1/2") yellow and was a pita damsel. now that he's gone I hope for smooth sailing.

There are several little white species in the Collonista subfamily, and all are good guys. In fact, just about anything that looks like a Turbo is a good guy, unless you think Heliacus species (sundials) look like Turbos. There are also a lot of little rissoids that look like grains of rice, and they may be out stirring at night. Those are harmless also.

    Cheers,

    Don

I had a rash of small white snails that were similiar in shape to the sundials. They were under 1/8th of an inch and I would find them on my Nerites until I had no nerites left. I waited 6 months without snails and just starting to repopulate them. Maybe you will not have the same thing I had. Keep an eye on the larger snails for the smaller hitchicking on them. I never found any worthwhile info on them.
    Good Luck
