Lol - that's funny. Is that Bird of Paradise? I have an SPS frag with 2 spikes that looks exactly like that as far as colors and polyps go. Is it a fast grower? Yours looks very happy.. lighting? if I have intense LED's can I glue him to the bottom of my 29g 16" high tank? It's my first SPS and its very beautiful. That's awesome your emerald crab thinks he's acro crab lol

LOL I didn't mean to post in this thread - too many windows open apparently. (DUH) I apologize to the OP for hijacking. :p

All I know is it's a bird's nest - not sure what type exactly. I believe birds nests are beginner SPS - so it may do ok on the bottom of your 16" tank w/ LEDs. I would watch it and moniter the colors/PE - if it starts to decline move it up a bit. Mine is at the very top of my tank under a 250w halide, but on my old tank I had it under 6 T5s and it was just fine. This picture was taken in about July. Look at my video at the end, you can really see the difference. Video was done around November. I really need to label my pictures better.

    Maybe around September 2011

Here is a pic several months after we got the frag. You can barely see it in the top right corner of the rock. When we first got it is was just one tiny piece, no branches at all.

Very nice, so you would still recommend high placement. You have a 250w MH which I'm sure is way more than my silly 3 Panorama Pro modules even though Ive only got a 29g Biocube

Still wondering what kind of hermit that is and also if the Yellow Clown Goby will house well with my Hi-fin Red Banded Goby who is paired with a Red Banded Pistol Shrimp(these are my favorite guys to watch!)

Wasn't able to load a photo but is it a Electric Orange Hermit Crab?

From what I was able to look up but I'm still not sure?

That one doesn't have the intense red legs and blue eye features. Also says grows up to 1" where as this guy I'm referring to looks like he gets about as big as the hermits that they sell in pet stores for kids. (above water)
