Awesome slogan, im gonna jersey shore it up and make that a t shirt! lmao jk...
I wonder what they are doing. are they just staying in numbers as to not be singled out for food? thats my theory. but they just sleep in the corner and when the lights are off BOOM, theyre like on the other side of the tank lol.

Thanks man i actually love looking at the tank now. lol

The scape is looking great! I really like the sand as well, it is a nice arrangement and pleasing to the eye.

My nerites used to do that as well when I first got them. I had 4 that would huddle together in the top back left corner of the tank beside my powerhead. As soon as the lights went out they would be on the move. I used to call it the bus depot because they were all lined up...then one day they just stopped doing it, very strange behaviour.

Thank you! coming from a fellow 20Long'er, means a lot. The sand actually was moved that way by my power head. I actually have some spots where you can see the bottom glass. Kinda sucks but i mean, idc. lol from sitting position it looks awesome.

Bus depot haha i was gonna call it the bang bus.. but this site has children on it... lmao

    lol

Yeah I had some spots where I had bare bottom as well from the powerhead, its a tricky balance when you are trying to get the good flow across the substrate. My solution was to put a large piece of rubble over that spot haha.

I was going to do that over time, if i dont add more sand, but truthfully i hope to break this down as soon as my 75 is in operation. but im not positive about that yet.

yeah I think I would do that too if I upgraded to a larger tank. The added cost and time of maintenance for the 20 will seem like a drag when you have the 75 up and running.

I have three tanks right now, my 20G SW and a 75G freshwater planted community tank (50% weekly WC and weekly trimmings) and a 10G planted shrimp tank (zero maintenance..just top-offs). My SW tank definitely takes up most of my time and money, I wouldn't be able to do multiple SW tanks...atleast not until I am retired haha.

Do you have threads on the planted? im not really a big FW guy but i can appreciate a nice tank.

Yeah they are a chore to say the least! Id like to drill it, and plumb it in with the 75 as a frag/holding tank. Idk it was a thought but who knows.

I have a thread for my 75G on here but I haven't updated in a long time. This is taken a couple days ago:

This was at its best IMO (about 6 months ago):

And this is my 10 gallon shrimp tank:

The 10 gallon is low tech with potters soil capped by pool sand and is zero maintenance. The 75 is high light with CO2 and a steady fertilization routine so it requires more time but nothing compared to SW.

Enough with the derailing haha...As for your tank, I think plumbing the 20 gallon into your system would be a great idea, it would make a great frag tank for sure!
