Well, it took me just about 3 hours at work reading through your thread and I loved it. Reminded me a lot of myself but you did better then me. I started with a 20g just like you but moved a little too fast, and went the Tampa Bay Saltwater route. It was great for a beginner, but I ended up getting a lot more stuff then I really wanted. Looks like you went through same phases with me. Especially with the cyano, which almost never went away!

About the 6 months mark my son was born, and my tank was at my parents house, so it hardly got attention. Lets just say it never recovered and I ended up breaking everything down again. I currently have a 150g, 90g, and 29g freshwater tanks but am thinking about getting into saltwater again.

Your thread was just nice to see that even when you hit lows in your tank, there is a upside. Your tank looks better then ever now. Thanks, I enjoyed the read. ;)

I appreciate you taking your time reading thru this! It has been an awesome journey to get here, one with more downs than ups, but i just take things in stride. Cyano being the biggest set back.

Congrats on your son, that is about the only thing that could happen to me that would cause this hobby to take a back seat! (hope i dont have one tho! im too young) Good to see you back in the hobby man. your son could pick up on it too! Any help needed feel free to ask.

Thanks again for the kind words my friend

Ive been getting diatoms during the day time (in the tank). hopefully a WC shortly will help that subside.
