I know one is a death. He was in one place since day one, way in my rock and just today the shell dislodged and out popped his body. Is it possible that hermits will attack/kill another hermit for their shell? because like i said i had this one blue leg hermit for a while and he was the only one for like 5 months, then i noticed the crab in his shell.. wasnt him. It was a new guy.

Yes it is possible. You should get some empty shells to keep that from happening. Make sure they are larger than what are being used now.

You can add more coral to the tank at a time than fish. That being said if you add hard corals, specially SPS you need to work real hard on keeping the params stable.

Its just a personal choice to go slow, if i mess up not a whole lot will be lost. But i think im getting the hang of it. Im going to be getting a ricordia shroom soon and maybe some other lps. Im gonna hold off on sps for now. i dont feel im ready to make that jump yet. I wanna have a pristine set up, not some HOB filters and a cheapo skimmer lol.when my 75's up n going ill be sure to add some sps. I appreciate the advice 2. ;D

I installed a new BRS media reactor to my 20g. I took off the canopy to add more water and thought id show you how its hooked up. I also added a small pc fan on the side to hopefully cool the tank down a tad.

Its powered by a maxi jet 1200 pump that i can tune down the flow to control the tumbling of the gfo. the outlet drains into my Aquaclear HOB and adds a nice flow to the tank.

For good measures i threw an old soccer sock of mine on the reactor to help shield it from the sun.
