Nope its salt, im in Florida bro, 5 min from the ocean. its called a river, but its salt. there are numerous inlets along the Inter Coastal (thats what its called) i can catch anything for my tank, but chose not to. I might grab a sea horse once and give em a shot... lol I walk the beach at night every weekend with the girly watching the crabs, turtles, and to fish for massive sharks. lol

It is pretty cool. i def take it for granted, most ppl go their entire lives w/o seeing an ocean. I can smell it im that close. lol personally i hate the beach im a pale dude, so sun and me fight constantly. But it is humbling. i know no different. lol and the fishing is off the hook, literally.

I may go diving there for my oceanography class, if i can get certified in time. theyre only taking certified divers, but being in FL i feel thats like learning how to shovel snow in the north. its a must. I also may go camping in Bahia Honda SP. Fishing there is unparalleled imo.

Melbourne is cool. Ive seen every space launch since.... well i can remember. i live on the "Space Coast" lol too bad its gone tho  beaches arent too great but its a typical coastal town.

My grandparents have a condo in gulf shores Alabama, not the same but similar marine life. I absolutely love going there. I agree, too many people don't see the ocean. I've been around "beaches" since I was a baby(Texas and Alabama beaches). But until you see a coral reef, your missing out!!!! I've seen some Caribbean and Australian reefs, truly breath taking!

Diving is good depending on where you are at. My wife and I always hit up Robbie's Marina and go night fishing. Last year we caught 28 lane snappers that were keepers in about 3 hours. It was insane.

Haha yeah it's a little freaky looking 200 feet down into abyss... I prefer staying in shallow waters... Or the kitty pool.

My name is Rob so you know ive been there! lol feeding tarpon and all is neat for tourists. id rather catch em. I cought a 6 foot, 200 lb one in bahia honda at 4 AM. That was insane! lol

Were going to some oceanographic research facility where reefs are all around... that is if i go. i dont member what key, but its a pretty renound site and the guy who runs it is very reputable(for get his name). Hes doing a lot of coral reef work with preservation and growing corals and stuff. and getting the Diadema (black sea urchin) population back to thriving numbers. awesome stuff. If i go believe ill take pics.
