    Great news reefers! My leaks are fixed!! wasn't as bad as i thought. Im going to wally world riiiiight now to get some silicone. then ill touch up the sump baffle. Theres a strong possibility i could have salt and some rock in there as soon as Monday.

    Im more than likely going to tear the 20 down and transfer the stock when the cycle is done, and ill have LR to help seed. How should i go about that? I dont see any thing wrong with filling this tank up with salt let her cycle and then transfer rock, the sand i have (in the fuge) and the fish and corals i have. Ill have the t5 for that tank on one half of the tank for now. Im gonna get new bulbs for her as well. 2Blue+ and 2 Coral+

    Having it fixed and sealed is a huge relief, lemme tell you.

    Congrats on getting the plumbing fixed. I would let the baffle cure for a week before running water through it.

    I would use new sand in the DT and not transfer the sand from the fuge but leave it in there. You don't know how much nutrients you may release by disturbing the sand that way. The p[lan is solid other wise.

    Thansk John, i took your advice to heart, and wouldnt ya know it, it worked. I didnt even think of letting it cure. Thanks! ill ditch the sand, its not even much anyway, probably 10lbls if that. DT is going to be barebottom, but im going to have my DSB in the fuge. Ill play it safe and just get some new stuff. Better safe than sorry.

    I made it out to be way worse than it ended up being, but im still a rookie when it comes to this kinda set up so i panicked. lol but im good now, i have water in the tank now and i still havnt seen a leak so im golden ;D OH i also touched up the baffle, and its going to be fine, not water tight but im actually okay with that. its the first skimmer baffle. so its not imperative its water tight. It be nice but i dont think thats going to be the reason why this tank fails. lol

    Damn right son. Im going to shop around some LFS and find some rock, if not ill just get marco a holler. I get my tax money in tomorrow too ;D Ill see what i come up with, and when i get a nice amount of rock, ill thorw in my skrimp and sit back.

    When I did 29 -> 90 transfer, here is what I did:
    -Cured about 15lb dry rocks in a Rubbermaid 2~ months before the transfer
    -Put the cured rocks in the 90 with the fresh made saltwater and made sure that there was no Amm, nitrate, nitrite detectable
    -Took out half of the rocks from the 29, tested the water again
    -Made sure the both 90 and 29 had the same pH, temp, salinity etc as much as possible
    -Moved the clowns first since they are hardy fish after the drip acclimation
    -Moved the rest of the rocks and other animals after the drip acclimation
    -I did all that process in 5~6 days. I didnt use the sand or the water from the 29. I didnt lose anything due to the transfer.

    After class today i got me some vinegar, a squirt bottle, and some handi wipes and cleaned the crap outta the tank. I scraped with a razor and it looks pretty clean. Im beginning to add RODI for the last time and finally put salt in and begin cycling, and converting from my 20. 33lbs of base rock later and ive got the right side of the tank scaped. So i think... lol my other rocks from the 20 will go on the left. Im going to fill just the tank during the cycle, and then ill do the sump later.
