Thanks fellas! I preciate the support! its been a year in the making... who knows on the anniversary, i might have the fish in by then. lol. Im just so glad this puppy is rolling. Should make my life a little easier than dealing with the 20. At least thats how i hope it works, lol.

Im also using coralife salt to start the tank up, im interested in seeing how it does for me. Never used it before.

 

i use coralife salt. overall very nice and high is calcium. warning: this salt has VERY low alk. i have to use a marine buffer just to keep my pH at 8.1. without it my pH hovers at 7.4.

 

Thanks, ill keep my eye out for that when im going to introduce my corals. The bucket says it shiould keep ph at 8.1-8.4. Hopefully that holds true, and your batch/tank set up is why its low. Who knows but i appreciate the heads up.

 

Well the news we've all been waiting for... we have officially began! Salt is in and steady at 1.025. I added 2 rocks from my 20 in there to help seed and start the cycle. my buddy is supposed to be coming by with a shrimp from his work. I did however find another leak at the gasket for the OFB. but i moved the tank, dont as how on the stand, and made the seal more flat, Looks like ive solved the problem. Im hoping with time theyll expand and seal better. The lighting is just a 10K floro from when i bought the 20. Nothing exciting lol.

Feb 29th is the official bday for the tank. That means shes not gonna have another bday till 2016... lol But ill just say March 1 is it. Took damn near a year to the day to get it to this point but were here, and here for good! Im hoping by my bday, the 25th to have all livestock transferred to the tank. of course i wont till i test the water, but im confident ill be okay.

Heres the very first FTS of it (from my bed, i was laying down. This is going to be so nice to fall asleep to at night);D.. Dont worry more will come as the tank progresses, i promise. Its def noisty, but when i put sides on this i plan on putting sound dampening material in side to help tone it down. Its not going to be open for ever.

haha he is the best dog ever, and is actually my girls. But he listens to me more. Miami Blue pit and thinks hes a human. Hell sit like that and watch tv and snore just like a human. Its crazy i love that dog. not 1 mean bone in his body, well he has 1 toward flies.
