Thanks John. Im diggin it as well. I will most definitely get her up.

One way i was thinking about doing so was letting the fuge go off line and evaporate some water. then i can just add the saltier water into the rest of the system. i mean my fuge wont be going strong till my 20 is broken down because i plan on drying out my sand and re using it for my DSB, well part anyway lol. no sense in throwing it away. ill make sure its dry and clean.

Not bad, but I prefer just getting up without constantly having to remember to top off with salt water.

Went and traded my coral for some rock, didnt get much, as resale in this hobby is like terrible...

But heres what the left side of the tank looks like, and i think this may be the final scape for that formation. There are tons of ledges, holes, caves, etc. Im really excited how it turned out.

Got bored so i switched over the t5 fixture from 20 to 75. Makes the rock look way better! My SG is slowly rising too so im keeping my refracto handy to get the right level.

Thanks man, I preciate it. i did a amazon search for it and its actually a lot more expensive than i thought. I might try bedding egg crate sprayed lightly with urethane to apply to the wood. I think it will act in the same manor, at a much less cost. I mean it was like 150 bux for a small piece, its insane.

For the price, that stuff doesnt look half bad. You would have to pretty much insulate the entire stand... I wouldnt mind trying it. im just not sure of the actual frequency of the tank noise im trying to get rid of. its miainly just water splash, so im sure if every sq in of the stand was in covered in the stuff, especially with 3 sides (front n 2 sides) it would be quiet. I would go as far as putting a piece on wall for good measures too.

when the time comes for me to do this, i might try that stuff. i mean it be better than nothing i assume lol.

building a vocal booth | vocal booth construction | sound absorbing materials - Audimute Soundproofing i think that this stuff would be the way to go but once again so much $$ for sheets of high tech blankets!
