Thanks Seano. I was bored and stoned. Great things come together when those are the driving factors hahaha.

Anyway I think that way would be easiest, and probably the best way in terms of flow as well. The other way looks aesthetically pleasing, but idc about that sh¡t.

    Small update.

Went ahead and ordered my overflow, returns, and skimmer. Went with the Eshopps 150, I simply cant afford the swc at the moment. Maybe when I graduate school... if that day ever comes. lol But I am out for the Holidays I took my exams yesterday and passed. ;D

Im going to be building my sump soon and I found a large sheet of 1/4 acrylic in the garage so I wont have to spend $$ on glass baffles. Is acrylic on glass okay to silicone? i know ive heard glass on glass is better, in a few worlds ;). but am I going to be okay with the acrylic? if so should i use GE Silicone 1 ( thats the safe stuff right or is it 2?)

    Thanks.

Acrylic will be fine for your baffles, that is what mine are. I just used a little more silicone on the edges for a better seal.

Thanks 2. I will be more than generous in applying the silicone.

Xmas came a little early for this guy! Both my overflow, returns, and skimmer came in today. Of course I had to get to work immediately. This was the first time Ive drilled a tank and I did it with no hick-up's. Thank god! seriously most nerve racking thing Ive done. Took longer than i thought due to drill needing charge after 2 holes. But anyway im so stoaked with how it came out. I offset the over flow box just left of the center brace... juuuuust in case i need to get in it for whatever reason, I can.

The skimmer (Eshopps PSK-150) is huge, well compared to my aquaticlife 115 for my 20 :p. Looks like a solid skimmer, def happy with it out of the box. assembly was simple, and where the neck and skimmer cup meet is a solid solid fit definitely pleased.

Im hoping to get a return pump asap, im lurkin CL and a local reef club for things to pop up.Just need my baffles cut and put in place and I can get it wet!

You too bro! well ill still say it on xmas. lol

You know, im just thinking a rio 12hf. Not too expensive and itll be just enough flow. But im looking around everywhere to find something thatll push bout 600-700 gph at 4' head. CL and a local club will be visited often, just in case something pops up. I was thinking maybe a mag 7, or 9.5 with a valve on it to adjust it as needed. Hopefully i can find something, and quick! lol i want water in this thing!!

congrats on all the progress! I know this part was a lot of fun with my 75. For what it's worth I got a mag 9.5 and it's closed off a little plus providing flow to my reactors lol. Keep lurkin CL something nice always pops up sooner or later
