k+ to all who agreed not a good idea. Also keep in mind they will grow and need lots of swimming room. Even though they appear to be stagnate always hiding in a prefered spot they are active swimmers, especially in the evenings.
Also.... I'd like to add I think its awesome you posted your question on 3reef. K+ for that too.

Ya good question. Honestly i feed mine every night, about 3 chunks of silversides. I would recommend either everyday or everyother day but no longer.
Mine has developed a daily routine. After I eat dinner i walk up to the tank to fill a glass of tank water (this is what i use to thaw the food). He comes out of the rocks and waits for me to pour in the thawed food into the DT. When i pour it in he chomps it down as fast as i put it in.

this falls into the cruel and unusual punishment, would be the same if someone took you to the sahara and dumped you there when you are use to alaska weather, sure you might survive but you would suffer during the mean time

I've cycled more than one tank with snowflake eels. Many groupers, including lionfish, triggerfish, clownfish, mollies, gwe, most eels commonly found in lfs's, They're pretty much bulletproof. Maybe you guys are talking about a snowflake eel that I'm not familiar with?

    borrowed from vivid aquariums description:

The Snowflake Moray Eel will not eat corals, but may eat some invertebrates or sick clams.

While the Snowflake Moray Eel may go over a month without eating in the wild it is best to feed it once or twice a week. To feed it place a piece of squid, shrimp, clam, or fish on the end of a feeder stick and bring it near the eel’s mouth. Sometimes you may want to bump the eel’s snout with the food gently to get its attention. Continue offering it food until it stops eating. After several feedings the eel will begin to recognize the feeder stick and will often come out of its hole and grab the food off the end of the stick.

Mine did not eat much when I got him but apparently he's got me trained to feed now. :)
